Master small-size part machining

Technological advances in machine tool engineering brought new opportunities to manufacturing and resulted in rethinking manufacturing various components, in particular, small-size parts. Multi-tasking machines and driven-tool lathes ensure performing different types of cutting operations on one machine. It was a significant step ahead to machining a whole part in single setup – a long-held dream of every manufacturer. This aspect is a specifically topical issue in producing small-size, where cycle time is small.

New approaches require appropriate solutions from the cutting tool manufacturer. ISCAR provides a wide range of various products that are intended for high-efficient producing the small-size parts on the multi-tasking machines and driven-tool lathes. What is more, together with traditionally used solid carbide tools, these products adopted an assembly-tool concept proposing effective concept of different tools with replaceable cutting heads.

The tools with heads include various families for milling (right shoulder, plane surfaces, slots and grooves, splines etc.) and hole-making (drilling, countersinking). Basing on original design principles of ISCAR MULTI-MASTER and CHAMDRILL, the tools feature the beneficial NO-SETUP TIME principle: replacing a worn head does not require additional setup operations. Therefore, the head can be replaced without removing a tool from a machine that significantly reduced downtime.

Using the smart ISCAR tools with replaceable heads, be a master hand at small-size machining!
